Buildings with high insulating
Passive houses and energy efficient houses have many in common. Among other we can distinguish:
– arrangement of living rooms on the south side of the building and less used of north side
– solar energy generated through the large windows on the south side
– simple houses without kinks and with as few corners.
However, passive houses differ from the energy- efficient houses especially the thickness of the insulating layer. In such houses the insulation should have a thickness of 30 cm and in the case of roof insulation 40 cm (in the energy- efficient houses we have got 20 cm and in the traditional houses about 12 cm).
